Irony, Sweet and Crispy

There's a little story behind this.

For a few hours today there was a fish farm helicopter going back and forth past the house. I didn't think much of it at the time, but later when I went out for a walk I saw that it was picking up its' fish relatively nearby. So, on a sudden mad impulse (the best kind), I went tromping off across the bog in the hopes that I could snap some pictures of the chopper scooping up its payload. After about forty minutes walking and jogging (during which time both wellies were sucked off) I was nearly at the point where the chopper was stopping; it naturally flew off before I could get sufficient elevation to actually see it in action. So, I picked a good vantage point and stood and waited for it to come back. And waited. And waited.

Turns out that that was the last run they made - if I'd been there maybe two minutes earlier I could have been in with a chance of getting the shot I wanted, but luck it seemed was not with me. It was by this point quicker to head to the main road than to go back the way I'd come, and of course it started to rain. Of course it did! As I was trudging back though the sun decided to play, so all in all, the walk had its compensations, as you can see.

Still, it would have been nice to get there in time for that darn helicopter.
